  • The United Nations and its subsidiary and specialized organs.
  • The Commonwealth of Nations Formerly The British Commonwealth, 53 Members Nations with 2.3 Billion Persons.
    The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
  • The Group of 77.
  • The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC, 57 Member Countries).
  • Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, KSA, with 57 Members’ Nations MINISTERS of FINANCE serving as BOARD of GOVERNORS. Members’ Nations also with BOARD of GOVERNORS ALTERNATE Governors.
  • The European Union (EU).
  • The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization.
  • The Iwokrama International Center among others.

Republic of Guyana’s National Interests through developing, maintaining and enhancing Guyana’s bilateral relations with countries in the Americas.

Guyana’s active participation in:

  • The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Caribbean Common Market with 20 Member Nations with 15 FULL Members & 5 Associate Members, CARICOM Headquarters is based in GUYANA.
  • The Organization of American States (OAS).
  • The Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
  • The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
  • The Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR).
  • The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
  • The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA).
  • The European Union/Latin America and Caribbean (EU-LAC).
  • South America-Arab (ASPA).
  • South America-Africa (ASA) mechanisms.
  • Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE).
